DB Schenker Technology Center Warsaw is one of four hubs providing IT solutions within the global Technology Solution Center (TSC) structure. The other three are located in China, India and the US. The TSC is an international virtual team of more than 1,000 experts dedicated to standardizing, insourcing and building global IT solutions for DB Schenker.
The company's rapid growth required an increase in hiring, but finding employees with rare skills (teams with COBOL technology stacks that are niche in the market) was difficult and the number of available candidates in the market was very limited. Our cooperation with the client began in December 2022. We worked together to recruit employees in the IT industry. To meet the needs of the client, we dedicated an experienced team of consultants and researchers to the project. At the same time, we concluded that this approach would significantly increase the intensity and pace of our cooperation.
What did our project look like? We were tasked with IT security projects and finding developers, including a specialist in the niche role of Cobol Developer (COBOL) and Frontend Developer. To make the solution more efficient and faster, we engaged 3 consultants and researchers to work on this project. As a result, we were able to find the ideal candidates for our client.
Recruitment began with a search for experts based on direct search, our network of contacts, the Jarvis database, a referral system, marketing campaigns, advertisements on industry portals and social media. More than 100 people were contacted throughout the process, of which we sent the profiles of the most suitable candidates to the client for approval.
It was important for security roles to check the candidate's English level. The security team solves problems for many DaB Schenker locations around the world, so fluent communication in English is a must.
In this project, we managed the recruitment of top professionals. Our task was to ensure efficient and effective recruitment and hiring of consultants.
